Tasty Meatloaf Recipe for Winter


Meatloaf is not just comfort food, it is very easy to make! This tasty meatloaf recipe will certainly be a winner in your household this winter.

Ingredients (serves 4)

400g beef mince
300g pork mince
1/2 cup (50g) breadcrumbs
½ brown onion, grated
1 zucchini, grated
1 carrot, grated
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon of worcestershire sauce
Sea salt and cracked black pepper

Preparation Time 10 minutes

Cooking Time 25 minutes


1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Place breadcrumbs, mince, zucchini, carrot, onion, egg, garlic, sauces, and sea salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
2. Transfer mince mixture to a lightly greased 10cm x 20cm (1.5L) loaf pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until firm.
3. Rest in tin for 10 minutes, run a knife around the edge of meatloaf to make sure it is not stuck to the tin.


This meatloaf can be served hot or cold and makes a great sandwich filling, paired with your favourite chutney and some cheese.
