Juniper Crossing tempranillo 2010, which already has a plethora of medals and trophies to it’s credit, is also an absolute bargain. This is a truly exciting wine with so much happening in every sip. Winemaker Mark Messenger has beautifully captured the subtle and supple expression of this Spanish variety. This elegant, medium-bodied wine combines glorious spicy fruit flavours and fine tannins and is the perfect accompaniment for food. This is by far the best Australian Tempranillo I have tasted in recent years.

Dark red and purple in colour. The nose displays a mix of dark chocolate and black cherry laced with spice and licorice. The palate is rich and full of dark fruit flavours coupled with dusty spice and savoury elements finishing with fine dry tannins. A great wine with food to be enjoyed in the short term the 2010 Juniper Crossing tempranillo is a must try. It is a wine to enjoy now and for at least the next 5 years.
