Matso’s Brewery is a Broome institution, overlooking the picturesque roebuck bay it’s not hard to see why. Matso’s is an award wining Kimberley microbrewery and is a true Broome treasure. The owners of Matso’s Broome Brewery are committed to the Kimberley region and the Western Australian tourism industry in the region. The Kimberley is a region full of character as are many of it’s inhabitants this spectacular land. The name Smokey Bishop comes from one such character, a famous local clergyman who is known for his love of fine food and beverages.

This unique dark lager is made in small batches using only the finest natural ingredients and displays smokey hazelnut and a slightly malty aroma on the nose. The palate mirrors the aroma with subtle chocolate notes blended with hints of coffee and hops adding complexity. Smokey Bishop, born to be another local legend, offers a smooth easy drinking style dark lager which is perfect for a cool winters night.
