Growing Region: Margaret River
Variety: Chardonnay 100%

A good wine needs to complement this experience and should be clean and bright expressing the quality of the fruit not secondary influences of fermentation, oak and other processing gimmicks and the Pitchfork range of wines by Hayshed Hill does exactly that.  The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is located in the heart of the Willyabrup Valley – the premier sub region of Margaret River.

The 2010 Pitchfork Chardonnay is a fresh and slightly fruity unwooded chardonnay displaying a bright fresh flavoursome palate of grapefruit. It’s designed as a current drinking wine so there’s no need to save it for a rainy day.

This wine would pair well with a delicious Fettucine Carbonara.

86/100
